Navreen Kaur
Chennai, India
A lawyer by degree and a guitarist by destiny, Navreen picked up the guitar in college as a “second” instrument, but it quickly claimed the center stage of her creative life. She hadn’t even heard Led Zeppelin or Metallica before she began learning their songs—just to get better at the instrument. What began as late-night practice sessions turned into a full-blown love affair with tone, technique, and storytelling through music. With no mentor, little support, and a world that too often judged her for her gender rather than her talent, Navreen carved her own path. From percussive fingerstyle on a lone acoustic to soulful electric solos on a humble Strat, she’s built not just a sound—but a mission. As an educator, performer, and producer, Navreen now helps aspiring musicians across the globe find their voice, just as she fought to claim hers.
“When no one gave me space, I created my own stage. Music isn’t just what I play—it’s how I survive, speak, and stay free.”
